About the Photographer
A web designer and programmer by trade, I've been interested in
photography since childhood. The coming of age of the digital camera has
allowed me to combine two of my passions.
British by descent, I moved to the US in 1996. I
currently work in Manhattan, New York and live in Nesconset, Long Island,
NY with my wife Susan and Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy Madison.
Saeculis?
I'm often asked for the meaning of the word. It's a Latin
word that I loosely interpret as meaning 'from past times', quite appropriate
for a photographic site. For the more technical:
saeculum: a race, generation, age, the people of any
time;
saeculis: dative/ablative plural;
'to/for/by/with/from'
